PAKISTAN RAILWAYS – SITUATION VACANT
Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore for the appointment/engagement of retired supervisory staff of the Signal & Mechanical Loco Department on a contract basis for a period of one year. Suitable candidates must have retired on superannuation (60 years) as per the posts mentioned below, subject to physical fitness.

Age Limit:
- Maximum age limit: 62 years.
Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment:
- Only candidates who have worked in the above-mentioned categories will be eligible for contract appointments.
- The selected candidates will receive salary according to their last pay drawn, along with usual allowances as per contract appointment rules. However, they will not be entitled to gratuity or pension.
- The contract period is one year, which may be extended for another year if required by Pakistan Railways.
- The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
- The number of posts can be changed without prior notice.
- Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination from Pakistan Railways Hospital.
- Candidates who were compulsorily retired, removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible.
- Only eligible candidates will receive call letters for contract appointments.
- No TA/DA will be paid for interviews and medical examinations.
- The selected candidates can be posted anywhere within the Pakistan Railways system.
